Zeni Bardolino Mr. Lake 2023 750 ML

Bardolino is a lesser known DOC occupying the hills to the east of Lake Garda. The wines are similar to Valpolicella, for comparison. Zeni’s “Mr. Lake” is a cheerful blend of Corvina and Rondinella vinified in stainless steel.
It wafts from the glass with aromas and flavors of fresh cherries with enough acidity to keep it lighthearted. This is an easy-drinking and versatile red with soft tannins. The Zeni family has been crafting wines in Bardolino since 1870, and their love for the region’s traditions is embodied in this wine. It’s terrific for pizza or burgers with grilled veggies.
