Vice Versa Wines Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Georges III Vineyard Napa Valley 2021 750 ML

The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer GIII Vineyard comes from a famous site in Rutherford and is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon raised 18 months in 90% new barrels. This site never seems to yield the biggest or richest wines in a vintage (although it’s a large site, and there are exceptions), and this plays right down the middle with its full-bodied yet balanced, elegant, ultra-classic style. Gorgeous red and black fruits, spicy oak, savory herbs, and smoked tobacco all define the aromatics, and I love its overall balance as well as silky tannins. It actually has some up-front appeal, but I’d still hide bottles for 4-5 years if you can. It will unquestionably see its 30th birthday in fine form.
