Bodegas Dominio Mano a Mano facilities are located near Alhambra (Ciudad Real). The is surrounded by 330 hectares of old Tempranillo vines. These ancient vineyards are cultivated on vaso system in sandy soils that lies beneath a pebbly, mineral, clay and limestone top layer, yield no more than two kilos of grapes per plant. The vineyards are 660 meters (1980 ft) above see level. The particularities of our vineyards makes it necessary to perform a careful harvest plan. The vineyards cover a relatively substantial area in which the maturity of the vines, which are trained using the goblet system and are on an average thirty years of age, is not completely uniform. This means that it is necessary to monitor the vineyards very carefully to be able to harvest the grapes at exactly the right moment.
