The estate was founded in 1973 by Fred and Juelle Fisher and produces single-vineyard and blended wines from estate vineyards in Calistoga, Spring Mountain, and Sonoma County. Fisher Vineyards is well recognized for its Cabernet Sauvignon-based wines. The estate’s original property and winery lies west on Spring Mountain above Sonoma Valley. The 40-hectare (100-acre) estate is planted to 12 hectares (30 acres) of vineyard. In 1976, the Fishers purchased a second vineyard on the Silverado Trail, neighboring the esteemed Eisele Vineyard.
