This auction lot is the culmination of Trois Noix’s guiding principles: Community, Opportunity, and Possibility. Our good friend, 6th generation winegrower Michael Hanna, presented us with an opportunity to harvest a small lot of Chardonnay planted in 1987. Based on the spectacular wines we’ve already made from the Muir-Hanna Vineyard and the Oak Knoll District, we knew there was a possibility to create something extraordinary. Fermented and aged in neutral oak, this old vine Chardonnay showcases concentrated aromas and flavors of green and gold fruits. It has a complexity, focus, and lingering finish that is sure to make it the star of our white wine collection. Fresh and ready to drink upon its release but sure to be a wine that will age gracefully.
