Bright red colour, aromas of red berries, accompanied by an intense and delicate floral bouquet, typical bouquet with fruity notes of strawberries and roses, fresh hay, apricots and yellow plums. Grignolino is fresh on the palate and has a fruity finish that is balanced and persistent.n n Producer Informationn n The estate dates back to the early 20th -century and is located in the hills of Agliano Terme, within the newly-created Nizza DOCG appellation, considered the quintessential expression of the Barbera grape variety. Agliano has always been thought of as the “town of Barbera”, thanks to its particular suitability for the grape, and the estate boasts vines planted in 1930 and 1950. Tenuta Garetto’s 10 hectares of vineyards cover a single plot adjacent to the winery, which helps to optimise the harvest and thus maximise the quality of the wines. It was purchased in 2017 by the Gagliardo family, who have been producers of Barolo for six generations. Today, the winery has the opportunity to express all the potential of the terroir with its Barberas, which are always elegant and full of character, as befits the Gagliardo style.
