In California’s North Coast, we searched the hills and valleys for vineyards that provided the fruit for these exceptional selections. nnCalifornia is the home of 107 AVA’s, one of the most important of which is the North Coast. This historic region lies north of San Francisco and is the source of Silver Peak wines. Shaped roughly like a rectangle, the North Coast AVA includes the prestigious vineyards of Napa, Sonoma, Mendocino and Lake counties and portions of Marin and Solano counties. nnThe area is known for mountains and cool coastal breezes and chilly fog from the Pacific Ocean and San Pablo Bay that creates moderate temperatures with warm, sunny days and cool evenings.
