Scielo’ is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from Rg|Mx (Rivero Gonzalez) in the Parras Valley, a small wine region in the Sierra Madre Oriental mountains of central northern Mexico.
Rich and round, it leads with abundance of soft tannins, red/black fruit, and luxurious oak-derived notes (coffee, tobacco, chocolate) … but it’s the surprisingly fresh acidity and unexpected eucalyptus and mint notes lingering on the finish that make this wine special.
