Panizzi Vertunno Chianti dei Colli Senesi Riserva 2021 750 ML

In the rolling Tuscan hills, between the historic towns of San Gimignano and Siena, lie the vineyards of Panizzi. Here grow the grapes from which winemaker Walter Sovran makes this robust Chianti Colli Senesi Riserva.
The Sangiovese (90%), Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes were soaked, crushed and fermented immediately after harvest. The wine was then matured for over ten months in small French oak barrels. This gives this robust red wine a rustic aroma. It contains beautiful scents of ripe and overripe red and black fruit, mild herbs and a subtle hint of oak. The powerful taste contains a lot of fruit, is pleasantly fresh and ends with a long finale in which sturdy tannins are fused. It is an ideal red wine to serve with a meal! For example, it combines beautifully with poultry such as pheasant or partridge. It is also a perfect companion for grilled meat dishes and rich pastas.
