This wine is barrel fermented and barrel aged. Throughout the aging process the wine remains with the original yeast, creating a beautiful glycerin based mouth feel. The oak is very integrated and the focus of the wine is bright mineral based with excellent acidity and detailed qualities of tropical and citrus notes.n n Producer Informationn Ken Wright Cellars is an Oregon-based wine producer located in Carlton. The estate is focused on the production of single-vineyard Pinot Noir wines from various subregions within the Willamette Valley. Ken Wright established the estate in 1994, after previously owning Panther Creek Cellars in McMinnville. Wright was a leading advocate for the passage of six AVAs in the Northern Willamette Valley and wrote the proposition for the Yamhill-Carlton AVA. The estate owns vineyards and sources fruit from vineyards in this AVA as well as Eola-Amity Hills, Ribbon Ridge, Dundee Hills and McMinnville to produce terroir-driven Pinot Noir wines. The small collection of white wines are produced from Pinot Blanc and Chardonnay.
