This 2014 Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon presents with complex and evocative aromas of leather, white tobacco, fennel, anise and earthy cocoa with the freshness of ripe blackberry and coriander seeds. Warm vanilla, honeyed beeswax and plummy cherry compote deepen into a lovely tannin story at once firm and supple. A generous mouth with good activity and tension finishes with a lavender sappiness supported by a rich tactile element of ripe fruit and creamy oak.n n Producer Informationn n Spencer Hoopes planted his first vineyard in 1983 just in front of his house in Napa Valley – Oakville. By that time he only grew grapes and sell them, but he soon realize the growing potential for wines from Napa Valley and he started his own winery. He chose Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay as his prime focus. Their winery is amazing old ranch with beautiful view from the terrace into the vineyards. Label with dog has its own story, because there was always one around the winery. Spencer´s terier Dante was the first one and during the harvest he used to jump through old barrel hoop so he made it on the winery label.
