The 2021 Rüdesheimer Berg Rottland Riesling comes from the heart of the Rheingau – one of Germany’s smallest but most renowned wine regions, famous for its exquisite Rieslings. This vintage tells the story of a cool, wet summer that tested both winemakers and vines. The result? A white wine of remarkable variety and character.nnThe Riesling grape variety, native to the Rhine, produces some of the finest white wines in the world with its delicate aromas, fine structure and racy acidity. This special Riesling grows on steep, south-facing slopes of the “Berg Rottland” near Rüdesheim. Its soils of grey-blue clay slate, humus-rich loess and weathered slate help the grapes ripen early and develop their complexity.nnThis 2021 vintage is reminiscent of an exotic explosion of flavors with notes of ripe pineapple, tropical fruits and a hint of green tea. A mineral Riesling, powerful yet subtle, full of fruit without being heavy.
