Force Majeure Epinette 2020 750 ML

Our Red Mountain Right-bank Bordeaux inspired blend, “epinette,” spent a long maceration and fermentation in both concrete and stainless steel vats and was aged in French oak barrels. The blend changes each vintage, either being dominated by Merlot or Cabernet Franc. Bottled unfined and unfiltered.
The 2020 Epinette checks in as mostly Merlot but includes 26% Cabernet Franc, 19% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 3% Petit Verdot. Still resting in 70% new barrels, it has a beautiful blue and black-fruited profile as well as full-bodied aromas and flavors of bouquet garni,
chocolate, and tobacco. With classic Red Mountain minerality as well as plenty of mid-palate depth, it’s a plush, round, opulent red blend that will keep for 15 years in cold cellars.
