Famille Peillot Bugey Mondeuse 2022 750 ML

Bugey, a tiny region at the foothills of the Jura Mountains, produces world-class wine that France tends to keep for themselves to drink in lieu of exporting. Native to the region is the Mondeuse grape known for being juicy with a punchy bite.
Dense yet light with obvious dark fruit, it is balanced with a sense of adventure on the nose (he barely intervenes and lets the wine take its own shape during fermentation). It has a peppery note and tannins that keep it sleek.
