Enrico Serafino Barolo Monclivio is a deep ruby red with garnet hues. An intense and pleasant wide bouquet with scent of currant, licorice, tobacco, spices, coffee and leather. It makes wines from a number of DOCs and DOCGs. Enrico Serafino The range includes red and white Roero wines, a number of Barolo and Barbaresco bottlings, and Gavi. The operation is also well known for its production of sparkling wines; it produces slightly sparkling Moscato d’Asti DOCG dessert wines; Brachetto d’Acqui, produced by the Charmat method; and a range of Alta Langa metodo classico wines from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. In 2005, Cantina Maestra was established to highlight and focus on the Roero and Alta Langa. Enrico Serafino The wines produced under this label are made with specially selected fruit from the estate’s 12-hectare (30-acre) vineyard in Roero. The vineyard is planted to 4ha (10 acres) of Arneis, 6ha (15 acres) of Nebbiolo and about 2ha (5 acres) of Barbera on hillsides in Canale d’Alba.
