Glistening ruby. Expansive, oak-accented cherry and dark berry aromas hint at vanilla, espresso and licorice. In a weighty style, but surprisingly energetic as well, offering sweet cherry cola, mocha and vanilla flavors that turn spicier on the back half. This is showing a lot of oak influence right now, but there appears to be ample fruit to back it up. Finishes long and smoky, with a reverberating dark berry note and strong tenacity.n Producer Informationn Established in 1989, Domaine Serene is a well-regarded wine producer based in Dayton, Oregon. It makes wines throughout the Willamette Valley, with most vineyards in the Dundee Hills AVA (in which the winery is located). In keeping with the region, much of Serene’s portfolio is based on Pinot Noir, although Chardonnay features prominently as well.
