Domaine la Negly Vin de Pays d’Oc Chardonnay Oppidum 2022 750 ML

Chateau la Negly is located in the Languedoc, on the banks of the etang de Pissevache on the foothills of the Massif of La Clape. Negly is owned by the Paux-Rosset family, and daughter Marion makes the wine, assisted by oenologist Claude Gros. The great diversity of soils, difference in height and location (up to ten meters from the tidal edge!), ensures a great variety in style and power, but there is one characteristic that connects all wines: great precision and a strong degree of minerality. The quality of Negly has not gone unnoticed by Parker either: he has repeatedly awarded high (up to 99 points) ratings to various wines from Negly!
The La Negly Chardonnay Oppidum has a very light straw yellow color in the glass. The wine is extremely fresh with good acidity and an expressive nose in which pear plays the leading role, but we also smell a tiny bit of vanilla. The taste is very fruity and juicy, and has a wonderful balance between ripeness and freshness. A delicious, fresh glass of white wine. Also because it is modest in alcohol, this is a wonderful aperitif or glass on the terrace.
