Light garnet red with amber/orange hues. Amazing, multifaceted bouquet of dried red cherry, fig, flowers, and Cretan wild herbs. A complex, savory wine of exceptional depth and refinement showing myriad flavor elements including dried cherry compote, herbs, and spice. A blend of the two top crus of Domaine Economou, Vassilikes and Pentalofos, both of which are near the village of Ziros itself. On average the vines of Laitiko are 90 years old with a touch of old vine Mandilari as well. A unique wine; compare with Nerello Mascalese from Mt Etna or old vine Cinsault from the Swartland of the Western Cape.
