From the wise vinification of 100% pure Nebbiolo grapes that the Cordero di Montezemolo winery vinifies paying great attention to the respect of tradition. The origin of the grapes comes from a single piece of land of 2.2 hectares owned outside the municipality of La Morra. Located in one of the most historic and prestigious hills of Barolo , the Villero, in Castiglione Falletto the vineyard of just over two hectares of surface differs for a very calcareous soil and rich in microelements.The harvest takes place in mid-October and provides for the vinification in an immediately subsequent stage with the maceration of 10 days that takes place in stainless steel tanks as well as the completion of fermentation for the following 12 days. Then the wine, transferred into small French oak barrels, undergoes malolactic fermentation and completes it. The wine ages slowly for about 20 months in small French oak barrels.
