The winery sits in the center of Marsannay, a village whose winemaking traditions date back over a thousand years.Chateau de Marsannay sources 9 plots with a total surface of about 17 acres for this Bourgogne Pinot Noir. The vines were planted in 1984 and are situated on clay and limestone soils.nAfter a complete de-stemming, the berries are placed in temperature-controlled stainless steel or wooden vats for a perfect cold maceration of Pinot Noir. Every day during fermentation, several punching of the cap and pumping over are performed for a complete and perfect extraction. At the end of vatting, the pomace is gently squeezed in the vertical press.n
