Chapelle Saint Theodoric Chateauneuf-du-Pape La Guigasse 2022 750 ML

Chapelle Saint Theodoric is a relatively new estate in the southern Rhone, that despite its tiny production, is quickly making a name for itself given it’s similarities to it’s legendary neighbor, Chateau Rayas. Born from a collaboration between well-known importer Peter Weygandt and winemaker Baptiste Grangeon, the owner of Domaine de Cristia. Peter was able to purchase two vineyards in Chateauneuf-du-Pape which he immediately recognized for their special terroir. The two parcels, named La Guigasse and Pignan, both have sandy soils with only a few cobbles. This soil type is very unique for the region, as most vineyards consist mainly of the typical galet roules (round boulders). Pignan is located next to the vineyard of the famous Chateau Rayas.
