The blue fruit and dark berry aromas are so attractive and catching. Black licorice and blackberry notes. Full body, chewy yet polished tannins. I like the way the wine rolls over the tongue. Needs four to five years to soften.n Producer Informationn Viñedo Chadwick is the award-winning flagship Chilean red wine of the Viñedos Chadwick group, which also owns labels such as Errazuriz and Seña. It is a single-vineyard release heavily based on Cabernet Sauvignon, with just a dash of Petit Verdot.The first vintage, the 1999, was released to widespread acclaim, while the 2000 release made headlines when it won an international blind tasting in Berlin in 2004, pitched against some of the greatest wines of France and Italy. The 2014 and 2017 vintages were given 100-point scores by leading critic James Suckling.The vineyard is located at the estate which is the Chadwick family home in the Alto Maipo Valley. The vines were planted in 1992 on what was formerly Don Alfonso Chadwick’s polo field (after some campaigning by his son Eduardo who had recognized the potential of the terroir).
