The estate was one of the first independent boutique wineries of the Marlborough region and today, remains family-owned. The estate vineyards are located in Rapaura along the northern edge of the Wairau Valley. Here, young silt and clay-based soil types combined with cool night time temperatures and high sunshine hours creates ideal terroir for viticulture. The Wallops Vineyard is one of the oldest within the company’s holdings, planted in 1985 by Allan and Catherine Scott originally for contract growing. The flagship range of The Eli Collection is a duo of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, sourced from the best plots of the family estate. The core range of the portfolio includes Riesling and Pinot Gris from Marlborough, Chardonnay and Merlot from Hawke’s Bay and a Sauvignon Blanc from Nelson. The range is designed to be affordable and well-suited to a broad range of palates. Additionally, a single vineyard selection of Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Rielsing and Pinot Noir are included as well as a range of méthode traditionelle titled Allan Scott Cecilia.
