Well known for sparkling wines, Korbel makes a range of still wines from various international varieties like Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon. Korbel also produces an extensive range of brandies. The business was founded in 1882 by the three Korbel brothers, immigrants from what was then known as Bohemia in Europe. They began making sparkling wine using the traditional French méthode champenoise. This remains a cornerstone of production. The most expensive sparkling wine on the list, Le Premier, a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The Korbel Brut is the most popular wine in the range, made from a range of varieties, the wine is intended to be reasonably priced and consistent in favour.
