Description

Delicate aromas of sweet cherry, rhubarb andcrushed violets. Garnet palate driven by flavorsof rainier cherry, subtle clove sous bois, and tannin both from fruit and oak that creates an ornate contrapuntal tonality to this expressive pinot. Finishes gracefully and continues to evolve given time in the glass. Producer Informationn Fisher Vineyards is a California wine producer located on Napa Valley’s Spring Mountain. The estate was founded in 1973 by Fred and Juelle Fisher and produces single-vineyard and blended wines from estate vineyards in Calistoga, Spring Mountain, and Sonoma County. Fisher Vineyards is well recognized for its Cabernet Sauvignon-based wines. The estate’s original property and winery lies west on Spring Mountain above Sonoma Valley. The 40-hectare (100-acre) estate is planted to 12 hectares (30 acres) of vineyard. In 1976, the Fishers purchased a second vineyard on the Silverado Trail, neighboring the esteemed Eisele Vineyard. This 21-hectare (52-acre) property is planted to grape varieties that are the source for Fisher Vineyard’s Coach Insignia Cabernet Sauvignon, Lamb Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, and the estate’s Bordeaux blend: Cameron. Other varieties produced by Fisher Vineyards include Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Chardonnay and Merlot. The estate also boasts a second winery in Calistoga. Fisher Vineyards produces a second label, Unity, with fruit sourced from family growers in Napa County, Sonoma County, and Anderson Valley. Wines under this label are produced by Fred and Juelle’s daughter, Whitney. The portfolio also includes a Cabernet Sauvignon, a Chardonnay, a Pinot Noir and a rosé.
