Founded in the early 1990s, it has been fully owned since 2014 by American former actress Natalie Oliveros, a part-owner since 2011.On taking over Ms Oliveros instigated a shift to organic viticulture, with certification achieved in 2019. A new vineyard, Giardinello, was planted in 2014, and a new winery and cellar was completed in time for the 2019 harvest.The winery itself lies a short distance to the north of Castelnuovo dell’Abate in the southeast corner of Montalcino. There are just 0.4 hectares (1 acre) of vines on this property, planted around the same time as Giardinello. There are three principal vineyards in different parts of the growing zone, offering varied terroirs.
