Annual production for their wines are minuscule, and highly allocated. Model Farm wines are artisanal wines that have a soulful nature speaking to their unique time and place. Vineyards are farmed by both Joanna and Sean, this being a really ambitious and adventures tasks. However, they feel that this is an important step in order to better understand the intimate, complicated relationship between vineyard and wine. All of the vineyards practices are organic, and are farm by hand, without the use of a tractor. This attentive, hands on farming style allows a hands off in the cellar. To preserve the integrity of terroir and hard work, they incorporate the use of minimalist, and old world winemaking techniques, crafting some of the best Syrah and Chardonnay coming out of California.
