A good entry-level pinot.n n Producer Informationn n Veramonte is a family wine producer of the Casablanca Valley in Chile. It was founded by Agustin Huneeus in the late 1990s. Hunees is known as being the first to invest into the Casablanca Valley as a wine region. Here, the proximity to the coastline of the Pacific Ocean is primary factor that creates the terroir for viticulture. Cool afternoon breezes are funnelled by the valley into the vineyards, keeping temperatures moderate and creating cloud cover. Vermonte produce a collection of wines, predominately from red varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Malbec, Carmenere and Syrah.
