Casa Concha is known for single-vineyard, estate-bottled wines from different appellations throughout the country, the most prominent being a Cabernet Sauvignon from Puente Alto. The brand was launched in 1976 by Concha y Toro, itself a historic winery founded in 1883 by the Marquis Melchor de Concha y Toro. The 1972 Cabernet Sauvignon from Puente Alto was the first wine released under the Marques de Casa Concha label and has continued to be the range’s flagship. It has been received well by critics, especially vintages from the early 2000s onwards. In the late 1980s, new varieties were introduced to the range beginning with a Chardonnay and a Merlot.
