The Fratelli Alessandria Barolo del Comune di Verduno 2019 is a medium-bodied red wine from Piedmont, Italy. It’s made from Nebbiolo grapes grown in five vineyards in the Verduno and Monforte d’Alba communes, and aged for three years in Slavonian oak, two months in a tank, and six months in the bottle. The wine has a distinctive floral aroma and a balanced, lithe structure with notes of juicy red cherry, spiced cranberry, star anise, and fresh acidity. Some say it has polished tones of river stone, crushed rose, and licorice root, while others describe it as aromatic and elegant with flavors of cherry and strawberry fruit.
